Here is an interesting comment on prayer from a 19th century British Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon: The condition of the church may be very accurately gauged by its prayer meetings. So is the prayer meeting a grace-ometer, and from it we may judge of the amount of divine working among a people. If God be near a church, it must pray. And if He be not there, one of the first tokens of His absence will be a slothfulness in prayer! I

weeBeatsWee Beats is a structured songs and stories group for children aged 0-3 and their parents / carers. A team of Church volunteers run the group. We sing a variety of fun songs with actions, use musical instruments, parachutes and include a short engaging story in our sessions. Children receive a healthy snack and adults a hot drink and biscuit. We ensure that every child's birthday is celebrated and a small gift is also given at Christmas. Cost £1 (covers toy fund, gifts, parties, drinks and snacks).

creativeCafeWhy not come along to create your own crafts (Knitting, Crochet and Baking) or to enjoy a natter and a cuppa? Instruction will be provided for beginners. Tea, coffee and biscuits - £1 donation. Bring your own crafting equipment. All welcome.

BOYS BRIGADE

boysBrigadeRobroyston Church of Scotland is home to the 125th Glasgow Company of The Boys' Brigade that comprises three sections: The "Anchor Section" (P1–P3) meets on Friday between 6:15pm and 7:15pm. The "Junior Section" (P4–P6) meets on Friday between 7pm and 8:30pm. The "Company Section" (P7–S6) meets on Friday between 7pm to 8:30pm.

GIRLS BRIGADE

girlsBrigadeRobroyston Church of Scotland is home to the 1st Robroyston Company of The Girls' Brigade. Each of the three sections meet during term time on Thursday evenings: The "Explorers" (P1–P3) meet between 6pm and 7pm. The "Juniors" (P4–P7) meet between 7pm and 8:30pm. The "Brigaders" (S1–S6) meet between 7:45pm and 9pm.

soulCourseWe run the 'Soul Course' (Christianity Explored) a couple of times a year. The course is a brief introduction to the basics of Christian faith with opportunity for questions and discussion. The course is open to all and is conducted in a warm, welcoming and informal atmosphere.
